Leto, Matthew, Rondez and Lando come from Varese, Italy and their debut ep, released in October was one of the finest discoveries I made wandering through Bandcamp and Soundcloud this year. A pleasant combination of indie pop, catchy distortions and guitar hooks with the right amount of angst, youthful impatience and broken heart.
Their name was inspired by the anthemic The Modern Age from The Strokes. And while paying homage to references from the past, they manage to give a fresh interpretation to late 90's/early 2000's indie rock.
"We play the music we love e we live for the music we play, right here in the northern Italy, right now in the
modern age". In 2012, pay attention to this "naughty boys in fine clothes".

This album is probably not only the best of the year but one of the best of the last 5 years. The new sound of the band is amazing, the guitars the drums and bass are definitely gorgeous. The kids grow up very well and their leader Alex Turner is going to became the best songwriter of his and our generation!

The chief is back. For us and for those who cried after Oasis split, this will sound like a second adolescence. His new best tracks are not comparable to the old masterpieces like "don't look back in anger" or "live forever", but we're happy to notice that Noel is still the right Gallagher in the right place at the right time.
