RADIOSEVEN + CRAFT SPELLS + TELEKINESIS + TENNIS + BALLBOY.

music to see #14 (hardly art records edition)

Hardly Art is a small label from Seattle and has a few good names in its catalog. Been listening La Sera and Hunx and His Punx almost everyday for some time. You can check a few of them now...

First 2 videos from La Sera, a project from Katy Goodman from Vivian Girl making sunshine surfey indiepop with reverberations...

Then Hunx and His Punx in all his glorious lo-fi queerness...

Psycho folk act Fergus & Geronimo with a beautiful video collage...

And to finish our little tour, Arthur and Yu with an escapist and (almost) road movie-ish video.

music to see #10

another visual moment accompanied by some beautiful tunes.

my heart belongs to cecilia winter is a band from switzerland. their album 'our love will cut through everything' is beautiful. consider this an introduction to their music because they'll appear here in the future.

rita redshoes is from portugal and has a particular universe where she floats between bright colors, jazz, blues and indiepop.

crocodiles' 'hearts of love' is the perfect portrait of a shoegaze sunny day. really beautiful video.

and an oldie one... the lightning seeds and the addictive 'pure'.

music to see. 07

after the ep's, singles and albums, as someone that works with video and editing i couldn't start another year without posting some nice music videos from 2009. i won't post here 'paparazzi' by lady gaga because we've all seen it a lot of times... (and the blog is about more underground artists) but i think it's an awesome video. it has an unique aesthetic and that must be praised, specially when it comes from a mainstream artist.
anyways... here are some of my favorite videos from 2009.

-----symfoniorkestern - tänd eld på dig själv (för det du tror på)

-----washed out - new theory

-----tada tátà - hit the wall (live)

-----jonathan johansson - en hand i himlen

-----all india radio - lucky (best video of the year, maybe?)

----- the bridal shop - ideal state

-----linda guilala - nadie se dará cuenta

-----the tremulance - dance trap

-----my sad captains - bad decisions

-----hiawata! - valley boys

-----money can't buy music - we will all asphyxiate

-----moofish catfish - ten days in my room (live)

-----la patère rose - pacemaker

-----the city and horses - a thousand lashes (funniest video of the year?)

-----jj - things will never be the same again

the simple carnival - really really weird
this video was made with a total of $7.25 in materials, though from the way it looks you'd think it cost twice as much!

tiny creatures covers let's get physical

jonathan johansson performs innan vi faller live for the amazing - and already mentioned - psl.

i was going to post an album from the danish act oliver north boy choir, but after seeing that it was requested to a few blogs to remove the download link i decided to abort the first idea and make a special video post about the band. apparently they create, direct and edit their own videos.
ps: the band don't exist anymore (sadly...)
