Eux Autres are no strangers to this blog. They're one of my favorite bands and their music always takes me back to college years and the feeling that the world is whatever I feel like making of it.
The band comes from lovely Portland and started as a duo formed by brother and sister Nicholas and Heather. Later, Yoshi Nakamoto (The Aislers Set), joined the band and took Heather's place to play the drums.
Their first album - Hell is Eux Autres (2004) - was a mixture of indiepop melodies with sung/spoken lyrics in english/french. A unique album that easily would be on my list of best albums of the first decade of the 2000's. Like, easily...
The albums that followed - Cold City (2007) and Broken Bow (2010 - kept their path in terms of melodies but lost the spoken and french lyrics. That doesn't mean they sound less charming...
In February 2012, they'll release their 4th album: Sun is Sunk.
Check their Christmas single Another Christmas at Home since the holidays are here...
